Bridal timeline for your Wedding Day

Start planning a stress-free day!

12 TO 16 MONTHS PRIOR TO WEDDING DAY:
  • Determine budget and how expenses will be shared
  • Select a date and reserve ARIA!
  • Reserve a Photographer
  • Reserve a Videographer
  • Select your Ceremony Site & Officiant
  • Reserve A Florist
  • The most exciting part is shopping for the wedding gown!!
6 TO 9 MONTHS PRIOR
  • $2,000 6 month 2nd deposit due to Aria
  • Reserve a Limousine Service
  • Start compiling your guest list to estimate head count. Consider  budget when thinking about “must-invites” versus “nice-to-invites”
  • Reserve a block of hotel rooms for out-of-town guests. (Ask about group rates)
  • Pick out wedding favors 
4 to 6 months prior
  • Make a 6 month appointment with Aria for your rough draft menu
  • Finalize the guest list
  • Select a hair and makeup artist
  • Select your wedding cake
  • Make arrangements with Aria to schedule your 1 month appointment
  • Select music for ceremony
  • Order your invitations
  • Select your entrée choices
2 to 4 months prior
  • Plan a rehearsal dinner
  • Order tuxedoes for the groom and groomsmen
  • Obtain a marriage license. Bring all necessary documents.
  • Order your wedding rings
  • Confirm wedding ceremony and reception music
  • Book a hotel for the wedding night
  • Mail out wedding invitations
1 to 2 months prior
  • 1 month appointment with Aria
  • Final menu due to Aria
  • Select music for ceremony
2 to 4 weeks prior
  • Work on seating arrangements for the reception
  • Finalize arrangements for out of town attendants and guests
  • Confirm details with the photographer, florist, and other vendors
  • Have final fitting for bridal gown and bridesmaids’ dresses
  • Work on rehearsal line up
  • Compile a list of all of the wedding vendors and wedding party with contact information. Carry this list with you everywhere you go (just in case).
  • 10 days before give Aria a call to give your total breakdown of guest and meal choices
1 week prior
  • Meet with Aria for your final meeting. Bring all of your bridal accessories (cake knife, guestbook, toasting glasses, etc.), your seating chart, and alphabetical list with table numbers and meal choices that have been provided by Aria.
  • Appoint someone to act as an “organizer” to handle any last-minute problems
  • Review final details for those in the wedding party
  • Indulge yourself with a manicure, pedicure, facial, massage, waxing, brow shaping, etc.
the day before the wedding
  • Something old- Symbolizing continuity with family and heritage
  • Something new- Symbolizing optimism and hope for the new life ahead
  • Something borrowed- An item from a happily married friend or family member
  • Something blue- Symbolizing love and fidelity
  • Pack for the honeymoon
  • Attend the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner; give gifts to attendants
  • Give the rings and officiant’s fee to the best man
  • Try to get some rest
